Adam’s Off-Grid Leather Craft: Handmade with Purpose, Forged from Survival

In a small private room inside a hostel — walls thin, space tight, but quiet enough to think — Adam bends over a scarred worktable, hand-stitching leather with a calm, focused patience. It’s not much, but it’s his. A sanctuary carved out of the chaos. A space where survival meets skill, and trauma is slowly reshaped into something lasting.

Adam is a survivor. Not just of hardship or homelessness — but of a system most people will never see, and many refuse to believe exists.

Years ago, Adam became entangled in the Westminster child sex abuse scandal — not as a bystander, but as someone who lived it. When he spoke out, he expected justice. What he got was betrayal. Promises made by MPs evaporated under pressure. Investigations went cold. Files went missing. And those in power did what they do best — protected themselves.

Targeted, isolated, and left exposed, Adam was eventually driven out of the Belvoir estate, the place he once called home. The price of truth was exile.

But Adam didn’t give up.

He started again, from the bottom. Living in temporary accommodation, he worked side jobs, skipped meals, and quietly saved up every spare pound he could to buy second-hand leatherworking tools. Piece by piece, he built his kit — awls, needles, burnishers, scraps of hide. With no workshop and no studio, he began crafting entirely off-grid, making belts, wallets, pouches, and journal covers from salvaged and recycled leather. Every stitch is handmade. Every item is a testament to resilience.

This isn’t about fashion or trends. This is a man reclaiming his life, one honest piece of work at a time. Adam’s leather goods are born from dignity, not pity. They carry weight — not just the weight of the leather, but of survival, betrayal, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going when the world turns its back.

Today, Adam lives in a hostel room of his own, still off-grid, still building. He has no sponsors, no funding, no safety net — only his tools, his craft, and his truth.

When you support Adam’s leatherwork, you’re not just buying something handmade. You’re standing with someone who stood up — and refused to be silenced. You’re helping keep a story alive that some would rather forget.

This is not just leather.
This is resistance, stitched by hand

Who We Are

Off Grid Leathercraft is run by Adam — a self-taught leatherworker building a life, one handmade piece at a time.

This journey started during one of the hardest chapters of my life: living without a permanent home, searching for stability, purpose, and something real to hold onto. Leatherwork became that anchor. What began as a way to get by slowly turned into a passion — and a path forward.

Working with my hands brought clarity and peace. Every wallet, belt, and journal cover I make is shaped by those lessons — about patience, persistence, and creating something that lasts. I use full-grain leather and traditional hand tools to make durable, honest goods with care and purpose behind every stitch.

Off Grid Leathercraft isn’t just about products — it’s about rebuilding, staying grounded, and crafting a future with meaning. If you're holding something I made, you're holding a piece of that journey.

Handmade with hope. Crafted off the grid. Built to last.
